Metropolis Cycles

A Summary of my work for Metropolis Cycles

Created a PR Campaign for a Detroit-based bike shop called Metropolis Cycles.

Metropolis Cycles Background: Metropolis Cycles is divided into three sectors in terms of product and service offerings. They sell new and used bikes, offer bike repairs, and sell bicycle accessories. In addition to these three business sectors, Shayne O’Keefe (Metropolis Cycles owner) plans to expand the business by incorporating a new BikeFit service that is designed to adjust cyclist’s bikes to optimize comfort, performance, and efficiency.

Project Context: In my Public Relations Campaigns course, Metropolis Cycles was assigned as our client, and we were responsible for creating a PR campaign for their new BikeFit service. The project was a semester-long class competition, where the ultimate campaign winner would be selected by our client after presenting a PR Campaign Plan Book and an in-person presentation.

My partner and I were selected as the campaign winners, with a small message from Shayne O’Keefe, where he said, “It’s tough… But I gotta give it to Roman and Noor. They clearly put the most thought and work into their presentation. They were also very professional without over doing it and seeming too fake. If I was going to spend real money, I would totally pay these guys to do my PR no question. I liked the company color thing and making everything all matchy and making the fit videos, I think it will totally work.

The Metropolis Cycles BikeFit campaign plan book (see below) contains a research report, brand guidelines, and a campaign plan for Metropolis Cycles to launch their new BikeFit service.
